Every country below has sent us at least one employer request since 15 September 2026. For the main markets we note what employers ask for and the rules that shape a hire.

Middle East status. On 2 March 2026 Thailand's Department of Employment paused departures of workers to twelve Middle East countries. In August 2026 the department said the restriction applies only to Iran and Iraq. We confirm the current rule with the licensed agency for every job order before work starts.

Saudi Arabia

Asked for: spa therapists, male therapists for men's spas, Thai chefs, nurses.

  • Thailand and Saudi Arabia restored labour cooperation in 2022.
  • Spas operate as licensed centres with staff and clients of the same gender.

United Arab Emirates

Asked for: spa and home-service therapists, salons for women.

  • The Thai labour office in Abu Dhabi certifies service contracts and expects at least AED 2,000 a month.
  • Dubai licenses massage therapists with 500 hours of training and two years of experience.
  • A new Thailand-UAE labour agreement has been under negotiation since February 2026.

  • Spa staff serve clients of the same gender.
  • Employers are asked for proof of the therapist's training.

Asked for: a production technician.

  • No quotas: hiring follows employer demand.
  • Thai labour talks in January 2026 covered care, IT, construction and tourism roles.

Asked for: spa therapists; the employer arranges work permits and visas.

  • A licensed Bahraini agency has also asked us for Thai beauty, spa and hotel staff.

  • The employer obtains a type A work permit.
  • The worker applies for a national D visa at the Polish embassy in Bangkok; decisions usually take 15 to 30 days.

Asked for: Thai massage therapists for a salon and a wellness centre for women and children.

  • Work permit rules are confirmed per job order with the employer.

Germany

Asked for: Thai massage therapists.

  • Thai massage training is not automatically recognised as equal to German qualifications. Check the role's requirements early.
